BackgroundThe temple was designed by Nemma and Panno's Alchemist ancestors who traveled from Rune-Midgarts on a religious pilgrimage. It was built to shelter them from invaders. The temple's security system was designed to require a special permit to access the temple; it is also voice-activated. But since invaders never came, the permits became obsolete. However, the automatic security system was left on the gate just in case and still works to this day.

The Holy Ground is the sacred underground sanctuary of Sessrumnir. Usually the pope and the high priests of the temple are allowed into this area, but recently it's been shut off from even the pope. It seems that the Rune Stones that are stored in the Holy Ground are leaking mana energy, corrupting nearby Freyjan workers and mutating monsters. Rune Stones are stored in the Holy Ground for research purposes done by the moderate faction of Freyjan priests.
