SPOILER WARNING: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Lumin encounters a fellow Novice while on a ship traveling to Izlude. The adventurer eagerly introduces him/herself to Lumin, who quietly responds rather nonchalantly to the adventurer.[1] Once the ship docks in Izlude, Lumin makes his way to an Izlude guard who starts a game of item collection with him. He soon discovers that the adventurer he met earlier on the ship was also playing the same game and eagerly races ahead of the adventurer. The adventurer and him both meet back with the Izlude guard, where Lumin taunts the adventurer for being so slow to get the items. Before things could escalate, the Izlude guard asserts that it was his fault that he sent two people to go after items meant for one and gives a separate set to the adventurer. Lumin agrees to the "simple and fair decision" and runs off.[2]

Lumin later runs into the adventurer outside the Royal Criatura Academy near a Red Plant. The adventurer was looking to harvest the Red Herb from the plant, which Lumin had already harvested. He admits that he didn't even need the herb, to which the adventurer questions why he even bothered harvesting it. Lumin blushes and exclaims that he didn't touch the plant and runs off, leaving the adventurer confused.[3]

Lumin is later found learning about how to become a Thief. He enters into a discussion with another adventurer and Vicente about which stats are most important to a Thief. Vicente mentions the Rogue job class, to which Lumin notes that it is a strange job because they have skills that involve stripping other people of their gear. Vicente defends his job class and brings up the fact that it is an advancement of the Thief class, to which Lumin shows little interest in becoming. However, he does concede that the Rogue's strip skills are an impressive means to disarm and disable an enemy.[4]
