RO AuctionHouse

The Auction Hall window in RO.

Now a staple of MMORPGs, the Auction Hall is an alternative to the Vending System that allows players to post up items for sale or auction for other players to find and buy or auction on. Unlike the Vending System which allows players to put items up for sale wherever they want, players wanting to utilize the Auction Hall must visit a major city or town to access it. Since the Vending System requires players to be online in order to sell their items, Auction Halls are designed to sell players' items regardless of their online status.

When items are sold on the Auction Hall, the money gained is sent to the player's mailbox instead of going directly to the player's character. Using an Auction Hall will usually incur a usage fee, which can vary depending on the item being sold in it and the length of time it is posted.

Ragnarok Online[]

See Auction Hall Removal.

Introduced some time during the Episode 11 updates, RO's Auction Hall is only accessible via a Kafra Corp. employee located in the following cities:

Each Auction Hall and the auctions in it is separate from all of the rest. For example, items being auctioned in the Prontera Hall will not show up in the Lighthalzen hall.

Auctions can last a maximum of 72 hours. However, there is a fee of 12k/hr for auctioning an item. This means the system charges 864,000 Zeny for a 72-hour auction. Once an item is put up for auction it cannot be taken down until the time runs out or someone buys it with the "Buy it Now" price.

The minimum price for any item is 10,000,000 Zeny. The maximum price for any item is 990,000,000 Zeny. Account or character-bound items such as Wedding Rings cannot be auctioned.

Items won in auctions are mailed to the winners through the Mailing System. Items with no bids will be mailed back to the seller. Items can be searched for in the menu using the item name or bid number. Items are divided by type in the auction menu: Armor, Weaponry, Cards, or Miscellaneous.[1]

Ragnarok Online II[]

RO2 AuctionHouse

The Auction Hall window in RO2.

The Auction Hall in RO2 functions similarly to RO's except it shares the same minimum and maximum pricing limit as the Vending System. Unlike RO's Auction Hall, players can post an item for sale for up to 7 days.

Just like RO's Auction Hall, items won in auctions are mailed to the winners and items with no bids or remain unsold will be mailed back to the seller.
